Character Name: Patrick Erikson

Age: 41

Appearance: Same as every other Pat, except he hasn't got a Gunslinger. Instead, he has a seamless humanoid prosthetic that only a few people know is fake.

Position/Job (what do you do? i.e. assassin, crime boss, etc.): owner of the flower shop in town, which is a front for the underground bar downstairs, where he is the bartender/general hookup guy. You want something you can't buy legally? You talk to Pat.

Sexuality: open, as if he'll take what he can get.

Personality: He's rough around the edges, for certain, but a bit deeper down, he's a genuine sweetheart. He did take Jeremy in and house the kid, after all. He can put on a tough exterior, but he's very persuasive (you kind of need to be, to be in his business) and can easily get down to business to get people in and then out of his bar. He comes off as gruff and quiet to the vast majority of people, since they only person who knows any other side of him is Jeremy. He allows the boy his freedom for the most part, but he becomes very protective of him when he begins spending more and more time with Rémy Artois, whose affiliation to the mafia is foggy, but who is still a dangerous man indeed.

Background: Pat has lived in the city all his life. He worked low-level jobs in restuarants around town, chief cook and bottle washer, that kind of thing. When he fully realized the extent to which the mafia had control of the city, he knew his money wasn't going to be made in the food industry, it was going to be made in illegal trade.
He took out a mortgage on his house to pay for the two-story shop he bought in the busy part of the city. It had been a flower shop, but had been closed down some years ago. A couple months of renovation, and the city's flower shop was back and booming with business.
But most of the customers weren't there for Pat's petunias. His flower shop was a front for the bar he ran in the basement. Someone could utter a key phrase to him, whether it's a request to 'look at the more expensive flowers' or an unusual order like 'I'm going to need seventeen salmon carnations,' he would take them to the basement, pour them a drink, then strike deals with them. He sold everything: drugs, arms, and other controlled goods one couldn't buy legally. He was well-connected enough, he could get anything for anyone for the right price.
For the first seven or eight years he owned the building, he had been running the bar and the flowershop by himself. This had been taxing: he could never be sure that the bar patrons were being civil while he was upstairs, and he couldn't exactly leave his shop for long periods of time, with the type that tended to drift in and wander around.
One day, as he was on the way back upstairs after checking on the bar, he caught Jeremy, only a couple months older than twelve, rooting around in his lock box where he kept the money made at the flowershop. For one thing, he was certain he'd locked that, and for two, how did this kid even know where it was?! He kept it hidden, and even most of the mafiasos didn't know about it!
He caught the boy and dragged him upstairs to question him, and found out that this kid wasn't associated with the mob, he was just a wayward thief trying to make a score in a place that was unusually busy for a damn flower shop. With the threat of being turned over to the 'law' in this part of town - Belucci's men - Jeremy confessed that he was homeless after his mother had died, and he was just trying to get the cash to survive for as long as possible.
Completely betraying his business-like exterior attitude, he offered Jer a room for the night and any other nights in the future that he might need someplace to stay. Jer avoided him for a couple days, but eventually came back and began hanging around the flower shop more and more, growing fairly close to Pat. One day he asked the boy to put on an apron and watch the flower shop while he went downstairs to 'get some things from the basement,' and he was able to work at the bar for most of the evening with a steady flow of his usual customers.
He was surprised at how quickly Jeremy had realized what this place was, and impressed at how he'd caught on to the 'code phrase' system Pat had in place. He handled the flower shop calmly and maturely, and by the end of the night Pat had asked him to come live with him above the flower shop and to work there for him during the day. Jer, having no better option at the time (and being pretty attached to 'Uncle Patty') took the job instantly.

Anything else you want to add: Jer and I are still working things out, so this information is subject to change.
